Ivelle knows only Nicole would dare call Jordan at this late hour. When Jordan emerges from the bathroom and answers, his frown deepens as he tells Nicole to stop fooling around before hanging up. He prepares to leave, but this time Ivelle breaks her usual silence and asks him to stay tonight. Jordan's expression turns cold, accusing her of being presumptuous. His tone drips with mockery.
