Long, Lost Summer Novel

After a tragic accident befalls her family, seventeen-year-old Nao from Tokyo is placed in foster care by court order. She is adopted by Chieko Nishikawa, a compassionate doctor from Okinawa, whose family welcomes her with unconditional love. Though initially guarded in her new small-town home, Nao gradually begins to open up when Van enters her life.
