Diary of a Dead Wizard Novel

Saul is determined to survive in a perilous world where wizards—both apprentices and professionals—constantly face the threat of death. He aspires to become a wizard despite the dangers, but his pursuit is complicated by the fact that he is targeted for persecution. His prospects seem bleak until he discovers a mysterious diary capable of predicting the future, offering him a potential advantage. However, the diary's predictions are uniformly grim. Each entry describes horrifying deaths: transforming into fertilizer, laughing himself to death, or becoming a potion ingredient. Frustrated and desperate, Saul initially rejects this so-called cheat. Then he realizes something crucial—if the diary predicts terrible outcomes, he can use those predictions to avoid those exact fates by making different choices. As Saul begins exploiting the diary's predictions to navigate around disaster, the diary itself grows increasingly exasperated, frustrated that it is being used in a manner completely contrary to its intended purpose.
