"I love you too, Alaric" I whispered as tears streamed down from my eyes. This was literally the sweetest thing anyone had ever said to me.
I have never thought he was the type to do something like this but damn this makes me really happy.
"I don't know why im fucking nervous," he chuckled as we both burst out in laughter.
"It's fine," I replied amidst my laughter.
"Lenora Hunter, will you be my forever?" He asked as he brought out a white little box containing a shining silver ring with diamonds laced on it.
"Yes, yes!" I squeaked. He wore the ring on my finger before standing back on his two feet.
I instantly jumped on him with my arms around his neck while I kissed him passionately.
"Please be gentle with the hugs, you're carrying our little wolf in there " he cautioned and at the thought of it, I became gentle but at the same time I didn't think just a hug would hurt the baby. Perhaps we were just being too over protective.
"We should probably get back to the house now for the ceremony tonight else the Queen would be so worried" Alaric chuckled while I stared at him in astonishment and wonder. I loved the way everything was going smoothly with everyone and I pray it lasts like this forever.
We got back into the car but Alaric seemed to have forgotten to discuss with Josh about somethings as he went out of the car to talk to him.
I couldn't stop staring at my fingers as it only made me blush even more as I bit my lower lips so as to stop me from smiling hard until I heard a knock on the window.
It was Jenny and she seemed to have something to say, even though I didn't wish to respond to her or exchange any words with her for a long time, I had no choice but to hear what she had to say so I whined the window down.
"Hi" she coughed so as to clear her throat.
"Hey" I flatly replied.
"I don't mean to disturb you but I just want to congratulate you, congratulations!" She smiled as she sucked her teeth and reached to leave.
"Jenny " I called for get before she would go to fat
"Yeah?" She responded while turning to look at my face.
"I'm sure you'll find your special someone one day" I reassured her with a smile. It must have been tough on her having a lifetime crush and watching her crush proposing to another lady. Not that I want Alaric to notice her, hell no, he's my man! I just wanted her to know she had a hope.
"Thank you" she replied and walked back to the car with Josh while Alaric entered our car and started the drive back to the Palace while I continued my routine by staring at his gracious face and the beautiful road.
We shortly arrived at the Palace and the decoration was more solid than we left it. Everything was already perfect and ready for the party tonight.
"Where were you both?" Diane rushed up to us with worries in her face.
"I have been calling but none of you were answering" she pouted again in anger while Alaric walked away. Probably to handle some other things or to escape from Diane's torture.
"You know you shouldn't stress yourself.." her voice trailed when she noticed the shiny ring on my finger as her anger was quick to turn to happiness.
"Well then I'll let you be, go get ready, the event starts soon" she winked before walking away and I couldn't help but chuckle.
I had invited Ariel to the event even though she was pregnant, there was a slight chance she could make it because pregnant wolves were always guarded and needed to be safe all through without going through stress.
It would definitely be sad if my only best friend couldn't witness me getting married. She has no idea that I was pregnant too and I wish to tell her only if she would be able to make it to the event.
The queen had said I needed to dress up so I walked up to my room. Alaric had bought me a very beautiful dress earlier this week so I only needed to take a shower, style my hair and do light makeup. I wasn't In the mood for heavy makeup.
I opened the door of my room but almost got a heart attack the moment I felt someone's presence in my room and by the person's shriek.
But oh seeing the person and the amount of joy in their face, my voice became the loudest as I squeaked in Joy and pounced on her like a hungry Tiger.
"You fucking retarded bitch!" I cussed while hugging her so tight to my chest.
"Jeez you'll choke me to death won't you?" She complained and faked a cough before I slightly let go of her.
"Fuck I missed you!" I cried and hugged her back as she patted my back and caressed me. I had no idea why I was crying or perhaps it was the pregnancy hormones acting up. Definitely the baby's fault.
"I missed you so much too, I would have visited all these while but I wasn't allowed to leave the house" Ariel sighed out of frustration.
Her baby bump was already increasing and visible. And she looked like an absolute angel in the pregnancy, how does she manage to always look so pretty?
"I'm so happy for you, Nora. You've finally gained the true happiness you deserve and I couldn't be more happier " She placed her hand on my cheek like she was one of those aunties.
"I'm so happy for you too. You'll be a mother soon and our babies would be best of friends " I squeaked in an attempt to give her a signal.
"Definitely, so you better get banged hard then our babies won't have too much of a gap" she chuckled while I slapped my forehead. She still hasn't given up on her character and obviously doesn't get the signal yet.
"Dummy, I'm pregnant too" I chuckled. Her eyes widened in excitement but words couldn't leave her mouth.
"My girl finally got banged hard" she yelled but I had to cover her mouth as I gave her a death threatening look while she hugged me tight afterwards.
Since she was around, she would be the one to make my makeup and dress me up, just like always she didn't disappoint and once she was through I couldn't recognise myself in the mirror anymore.
I looked like the perfect definition of beauty even though it was just a light makeup. Perhaps I've always been beautiful and I'm just realising, I'm just seeing what Alaric had been seeing for a long time.
"Lenora, it's time, are you ready?" Alaric knocked on the door before opening it but on sighting me, he froze and took his time to gawk at my body.
Minutes went by yet he didn't say anything than to stare at me as his eyes never left my body.
"Wow!" He said after a while of intense staring.
"Wow?" I asked back. A smile tucked at the corner of his lips as he came closer to me and adjusted a strand of my hair away from my face.
"You are beautiful " he complimented while I felt butterflies in my stomach again, or perhaps they were the baby performing a Harry Potter magic.
"Let's go" He brought out an arm as I tucked my hand in them and he led me outside. Ariel had left immediately Alaric came into the room with a grin on her face.
Apparently, she needed to meet Brandon and he was at the party. I couldn't deny my appreciation towards the both of them for making it to the party despite their present condition.
We walked down the steps as the crowd fixed their eyes on us, I was nervous but had instantly muttered up the courage. I didn't need to be scared or shy while Alaric was walking side by side with me. What else could be perfect.
The party started after we arrived as music was played, food was served. Alaric and I were both called to the middle of the hall to dance as we both danced even though I was a bad dancer and had constantly stepped on his foot but he didn't mind.
Soon, the whole crowd joined us in the middle of the room as they danced with their partners, some who were couples and some who were just strangers to themselves.
ALARIC'S POV
The group dance started as I was to twirl my partner and another man would dance with her but I didn't think I could bear her laughing with another man. I preferred her smiling and laughing in my arms until her friend Ariel had to snatch her from my hands and push me to someone else.
Apparently, I was supposed to have switched with someone else and maybe come back to Lenora afterwards.
I was a little bit relieved that she wasn't dancing with another man but her friend though my eyes never left her as she was smiling and having fun all through.
"Not even a glance at me?" The lady in front of me scoffed as I recognized the voice. I hadn't even taken a glance at her face since I started dancing with her and on looking at her the smile on my face fell.
"You!" I growled.
"Nice to meet you too" she rolled her eyes. I wanted to remove my hands from hers and end the dance but it was too late as the spotlight hit both of us while the rest stopped dancing to stare at us and cheer us.
Lenora was watching too but she held a smile on her face.
"What the hell are you doing here?" I growled at her but she only smiled and her smile was making my anger increase.
"I know you miss me, why don't you just accept and I'll come back to you rather than having to force yourself to mark that young wolf. What the hell do you even see in her?" She spat disgustingly.
"One more word about Lenora from you and I'll tear your skin right here!" I threatened but it wasn't an empty threat.
"Calm down there boy, I just missed you and came to congratulate you but at the same time I don't mind you filling me with your gracious cock one last time" she cooed into my ear as her fingers seductively trailed down my chest in the middle of the room.
My eyes fell on Lenora but she didn't have the smile on her face anymore, it was replaced with sadness and she was trying to hold back her emotions.
"Rot in hell!" I cursed Camila. I pushed her away from my body and walked out of the crowd. I needed a time out from this bullshit. I had no idea how she got to know I was getting married and why the hell would she visit.
On walking out of the crowd, I could sense Lenora following me until we were both away from the noise and alone.
"Who is she?" She inquired with worries in her voice but with a hint of jealousy.
"She's nothing more than a pest. Nothing to worry about" I assured her.
"That doesn't answer my question, Alaric, who the hell is she and why was she touching you like that?" She asked again and I knew I owed her an explanation.
"She's just an ex I once used to fling with. Nothing more than a past and definitely doesn't worth you to worry over" I honestly responded while cupping her cheeks.
"Alright, I'm going back to the dance" she responded and walked out of me.
