Xenon Prasedymum was born into a dying 14-year-old boy's body, receiving the consciousness of Brayden, a young adult from a distant future where earth has become a cold metal globe. Brayden had spent his life working to support himself and his younger sister, only to die during a procedure to install an Artificial Nervous System, the technological standard of his world. Reincarnated into this new reality, Brayden discovers an earth vastly different from his own—larger, thriving with life, and abundant with spirits whose synthesized energy, called Àse, empowers humans to perform superhuman feats. The inhabitants have mastered communication with spirits to harness this power in daily life, except for the Prasedymum family, an ancient warrior clan whose traditions reject this practice. Brayden accepts his new existence as Xenon, aided by his system, struggling to suppress memories of his abandoned sister. However, his original world is not finished with him, suggesting his death may have been necessary to save both worlds.
